Sen. Rand Paul: "Let's not live in fear because Dr. Fauci is promulgating things that are unscientific just to scare you. If you've been vaccinated or if you've had the disease, live your life and ignore this man, and let's hope he can be gone as soon as possible." ?? pic.twitter.com/caHGuS5GdK — Scott Morefield (@SKMorefield) December 4, 2021

The Post Millennial reports, “Senator and Doctor Rand Paul called for Biden's Covid spokesperson Dr. Anthony Fauci to go to prison over comments he made to Congress regarding gain of function research.
In a recent interview on Fox, Sen. Rand Paul held nothing back when sharing his thoughts on Dr. Fauci, accusing the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director of lying to Congress.

‘We've referred him to the Department of Justice,’ Sen. Paul told Fox Business' Maria Bartiromo, ‘but then again, Merrick Garland is the one now going after parents that go to school board meetings, so I don't have a lot of hope that Merrick Garland is objectively looking at Fauci's lying.’
‘Fauci should go to prison for five years for lying to Congress,’ Sen. Paul continued. ‘They have prosecuted other people. They have selectively gone after Republicans, but in no way will they do anything about him lying. But he should be prosecuted for lying."

From my Fox Business interview on Thursday: "When we passed the last spending bill in September, we knew this date was coming. The Democrats have done nothing. They've not introduced a spending bill, and I don't even think it's passed the House yet… they're going to do it on the last day. Well, things in the Senate take about a week to pass, and that's the normal procedure around here… that includes amendments. If they want to force it through with no amendments and they want to do it in a short period of time, they have to have unanimous consent. Well, a lot of us don't consent… just because the Democrats are incompetent and haven't brought it forward that we should speed up time to let them spend more money that is bankrupting our country.

The debt ceiling is the same way; we move the debt ceiling back two months, about a month ago or so, it's going to be coming up in the next week or two. They've had plenty of time to go to committee, to do all the things they need to do to do it through reconciliation. Instead, they're going to wait to the last minute and ask people like me, who are dead set against raising the debt ceiling, like, say, ‘Oh, can you pretty, pretty please speed it up and let only Democrats pass this?’ No. If they want to raise the debt ceiling, they ought to do it. They've had plenty of time to do it. This is all on Democrats, it’s their incompetence in getting anything done. These people couldn't run a 7-Eleven, much less the government."
The American Conservative’s Geoff Lamear writes, “In response to the proposed sale of U.S. missiles to Saudi Arabia, Senators Rand Paul and Bernie Sanders are leading a bipartisan effort to oppose the sale. This is still a fight of David and Goliath, as Congress has never successfully stopped an arms sale.
It’s time for that to change.

While President Biden has pledged to end support for 'offensive operations,' U.S. support for Saudi Arabia has continued under the guise of defense…
While attention on Saudi Arabia is warranted, many have failed to notice that the U.S. quietly allowed the UAE to continue receiving $23 billion in U.S. arms. A U.S. official also confirmed last week that the UAE is slated to receive advanced F-35 fighter jets despite the UAE’s continued involvement and possible war crimes in Yemen. Amid reports that the UAE allowed the construction of Chinese military facilities, the U.S. needs to stop its blank-check support for a government that doesn’t reciprocate. Just as with Saudi Arabia, neutrality would better insulate the U.S. from conflicts that don’t threaten Americans.”

The Lexington Herald-Leader reports, “A federal judge in Kentucky issued a preliminary injunction effectively blocking implementation of President Joe Biden’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for federal government contractors and subcontractors on Tuesday.
This is an important first step in ending the Biden Administration's unconstitutional mandate on private businesses. Thank you @DanielCameronAG for being an advocate for liberty in the courts! https://t.co/Pw1BemjM21 — Senator Rand Paul (@RandPaul) December 1, 2021

U.S. District Judge Gregory F. Van Tatenhove, who serves the Eastern District of Kentucky, issued the opinion and order Tuesday afternoon. It came in response to a challenge from Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron, who joined many other state attorneys general in challenging the mandate. ‘This is not a case about whether vaccines are effective. They are,’ Van Tatenhove wrote. ‘Nor is this a case about whether the government, at some level, and in some circumstances, can require citizens to obtain vaccines. It can.’
He said that the question before him was a narrow one: whether or not Biden had the authority to impose vaccines on the employees of federal contractors and subcontractors. ‘In all likelihood, the answer to that question is no,’ Van Tatenhove wrote.”
The Washington Post reports, “A federal judge in Missouri has partially halted another one of the Biden administration’s key vaccine requirements, temporarily blocking the imposition of a rule for certain health-care workers in 10 states.
Federal judge blocks Biden vaccine mandate as “arbitrary and capricious.” Ruling states that “Congress did not clearly authorize [Medicare] to enact this politically and economically vast, federalism-altering, and boundary-pushing mandate…https://t.co/giE84SySS6 — Senator Rand Paul (@RandPaul) November 30, 2021

The Biden administration issued the vaccine mandate, for health-care workers at facilities that received funding from Medicare and Medicaid, in early November through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). It was estimated to apply to some 1.7 million workers at 76,000 facilities across the country, including hospitals and nursing homes.
But in a 32-page ruling issued on Monday in St. Louis, U.S. District Judge Matthew T. Schelp, who was appointed by President Donald Trump, said that a preliminary injunction to halt the rule was warranted because he believed the arguments made by the plaintiffs — 10 mostly Republican-dominated states — that the CMS lacked authority to implement the requirement, probably had merit.”
The Brownstone Institute’s Jeffrey Tucker writes, “Atlas’s book has exposed a scandal for the ages. It is enormously valuable because it fully blows up what seems to be an emerging fake story involving a supposedly Covid-denying president who did nothing vs. heroic scientists in the White House who urged compulsory mitigating measures consistent with prevailing scientific opinion. Not one word of that is true. Atlas’s book, I hope, makes it impossible to tell such tall tales without embarrassment.

A must read, Scott Atlas’ behind the scenes expose’ of how Fauci botched the COVID response. https://t.co/eLws2t6gwB
Anyone who tells you this fictional story (including Deborah Birx) deserves to have this highly credible treatise tossed in his direction. The book is about the war between real science (and genuine public health), with Atlas as the voice for reason both before and during his time in the White House, vs. the enactment of brutal policies that never stood any chance of controlling the virus while causing tremendous damage to the people, to human liberty, to children in particular, but also to billions of people around the world.”
The absolute hubris of someone claiming THEY represent science. It’s astounding and alarming that a public health bureaucrat would even think to claim such a thing, especially one who has worked so hard to ignore the science of natural immunity. https://t.co/rcDezphVRR — Senator Rand Paul (@RandPaul) November 28, 2021

Fox News reports, “Fauci, during an interview with 'Face the Nation,' dismissed opposition by such lawmakers as 'noise,' saying they’re 'really criticizing science.'
'Anybody who’s looking at this carefully, realizes that there’s a distinct anti-science flavor to this, so if they get up and criticize science, nobody’s going to know what they’re talking about,' Fauci said. 'But if they get up and really aim their bullets at Tony Fauci, well people can recognize that there’s a person there, so it’s easy to criticize, but they’re really criticizing science because I represent science."
The Washington Examiner reports, “Last week, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul decided to take a stand against Saudi Arabia. He was joined by Sens. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Mike Lee of Utah. Together, they issued a joint resolution of disapproval to block proposed U.S. arms sales to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
According to the press release, this weapons sale to Saudi Arabia included 280 air-to-air missiles and 596 missile launchers. Other sophisticated weapons were included, as well as associated training and support. The entire cost was estimated to be approximately $650 billion.
The three senators were not pleased at all, not in the slightest.
‘As the Saudi government continues to wage its devastating war in Yemen and repress its own people, we should not be rewarding them with more arms sales,’ Sen. Sanders said in the press release.
A message needs to be sent to Saudi Arabia that we don’t approve of their war with Yemen… https://t.co/i8MAe6RmaN — Senator Rand Paul (@RandPaul) November 26, 2021
A message needs to be sent to Saudi Arabia that we don’t approve of their war with Yemen… https://t.co/i8MAe6RmaN
‘The war in Yemen is a humanitarian tragedy, and U.S. participation in this war remains undeclared by Congress. The administration’s proposed arms sale to Saudi Arabia contradicts the President’s own stated policy. I am proud to once again stand with my colleagues and push back on unconstitutional support of this war,’ said Sen. Lee.
Sen. Rand Paul had an especially scathing rebuke of the deal.
‘A message needs to be sent to Saudi Arabia that we don’t approve of their war with Yemen,’ Sen. Paul said. ‘By participating in this sale, we would not only be rewarding reprehensible behavior, but also exacerbating a humanitarian crisis in Yemen. I urge Congress and the Biden Administration to consider the possible consequences of this sale that could accelerate an arms race in the Middle East and jeopardize the security of our military technologies.”
