'They just want my silence': Why Rand Paul quit YouTube

The Daily Wire reports, “Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) published an op-ed on Monday, announcing that he is beginning his ‘exodus from Big Tech,’ starting with the ‘worst censor of all, YouTube.’

‘As a libertarian leaning Senator, I think private companies have the right to ban me if they want to, however, those of us who believe that truth comes from disputation and that the marketplace of ideas is a prerequisite for innovation should shun the close-minded censors and take our ideas elsewhere, which is exactly what I’m doing,’ announced Dr. Paul in a press release.”

Why I'm quitting YouTube

"Every year, people resolve to do things that are better for their health — quitting alcohol, processed food, toxic relationships. I have come to the realization that my relationship with YouTube is dysfunctional.

Sure, I can get millions of views. But why should I allow anonymous “fact-checkers” to censor my fully sourced, fact-based content? They don’t want to challenge or debate me with opposing views, they just want my silence.

Everyone complains about Big Tech. The Left says Big Tech doesn’t censor enough. The right complains that Big Tech censors too much already.

Many in Congress, on the Left and the Right, want to break up or regulate Big Tech, but few of these loud voices have actually stepped up and quit using Big Tech.

So today, I announce that I will begin an exodus from Big Tech. I will no longer post videos on YouTube unless it is to criticize them or announce that viewers can see my content on rumble.com.

Why begin with YouTube? Because they’re the worst censors...

My goal is to eventually quit Big Tech entirely. I’ve created a news aggregator site, libertytree.com that brings together writers and news in defense of small government and expansive personal liberty.

Competition is the answer. So, to complainers about Big Tech censorship, just quit!"

Biden ‘actively preventing' monoclonal antibodies from being used to treat Covid-19

Townhall reports, “In a letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra, Florida’s surgeon general Joseph Ladapo accused the Biden administration of ‘actively preventing’ the distribution of a life-saving Covid-19 treatment.

Ladapo detailed how Florida was ahead of the curve in using monoclonal antibodies, explaining that by mid-September, nearly 100,000 patients received this life-saving treatment.

‘Shortly after Florida’s 100,000 treatment milestone, and without any advanced notice, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced a dramatic reduction in the number of monoclonal antibodies to be allocated to the State of Florida,’ Ladapo said. ‘Governor DeSantis moved quickly to acquire Sotrovimab from GlaxoSmithKline to help alleviate the artificial shortage caused by this sudden shift from HHS. However, the lack of allocation of this life-saving treatment from the federal government continues to cause another immediate and life-threatening shortage of treatment options’ amid the spread of Omicron…

‘The federal government is actively preventing the effective distribution of monoclonal antibody treatments in the U.S. The sudden suspension of multiple monoclonal antibody therapy treatments from distribution to Florida removes a health care provider’s ability to decide the best treatment options for their patients in this state,’ he said. ‘This shortsightedness is especially evident given that the federal government effectively prohibited states from purchasing these monoclonal antibodies and serving their populations directly.”

Rand Paul: 'thousands of people die' each month because of Fauci's longstanding biases

Fox News reports, "Sen. Rand Paul pinned blame for thousands of monthly coronavirus deaths on Dr. Anthony Fauci over his bias toward vaccines.

'I would venture to say that thousands of people die in our country every month now from COVID because [Fauci’s] deemphasized the idea that there are therapeutics,' Paul, who is also a physician, said in an interview on the Ron Paul Liberty Report published Monday.

Paul explained that Fauci has a long history of a 'bias' toward vaccines, stretching back to his work on AIDS.

'I think Fauci is of the philosophy that vaccines are incredibly successful and are the way to go versus therapeutics, for example. So with regard to AIDS, he was involved as the AIDS epidemic came up, he wanted to develop a vaccine,' he continued in the interview with his father, former Texas Rep. Ron Paul.

'There's nothing wrong with that. He wanted to develop a vaccine. Vaccines can be great for polio or smallpox or wonderful. It didn't actually work for AIDS.'

Paul has previously said that monoclonal antibodies 'are one of the most promising treatments for the virus' after a person has been infected, but that misinformation on the antibody treatment plagues 'government bureaucrats."

Kentucky hero keeps the spirit of Christmas alive for children affected by recent storms

The Post Millennial reports, “One veteran wanted to give a few dozen presents to cheer up young storm victims. But with some help from the internet, he’s brought back Christmas for thousands of children.

Per an ABC News report, retired Marine Shawn Triplett brought the holiday spirit back to his hometown of Mayfield, Kentucky in the aftermath of devastating tornadoes.

Triplett was inspired in the first place by what a little boy told his mother at a storm shelter. ‘I lost my Christmas’ is all it took to compel Shawn to try and make things right again.

He pitched a modest goal of 20 to 30 presents, asking friends and family for help. But Triplett’s effort went viral.

’It’s really been pretty cool, because I don't really I don't speak Japanese or French, so I've had to go use Google Translate to reply back to people and just thank them,’ he says.

He raised roughly $98,000 through a GoFundMe campaign. A team of volunteers worked round the clock to wrap thousands of them in a matter of days. ABC says Shawn Triplett and those who helped him have sent out more than 20,000 toys.”

Happy Festivus!

The Daily Wire reports, “On Wednesday, U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) released his 2021 ‘Festivus’ Report, which detailed a total of $52,598,515,585 in government waste.

Paul is chairman of the Emerging Threats and Spending Oversight (ETSO) Subcommittee for the Homeland Security and is on the Governmental Affairs Committee (HSGAC).

This marks Dr. Paul’s and the subcommittee’s seventh edition of the Festivus Report, which the Senator described as a way to ‘alert the American people to how their federal government uses their hard-earned money.’

Areas of spending are broken down into various sections, including COVID-related spending, Afghanistan, and miscellaneous expenditure. Examples include $11.3 million spent by the USAID on telling the people of Vietnam ‘to stop burning their trash,’ Congress giving the Wilson Center — which ‘throws swanky parties for members of congress’ — $14 million, and over $465,000 granted by the NIH to Reed College of Portland, Oregon, to ‘create a token-based economy where pigeons are taught to gamble with slot machines.’

‘Happy Festivus! How can 2021 already be coming to a close? What a year it’s been,’ the report begins. ‘And, it’s safe to say that some big changes have occurred since last year’s Festivus Report. Mask mandates, travel restrictions and lock-downs were lifted across many parts of the country. President Biden was inaugurated. Inflation has skyrocketed. The Kardashians finally ended their TV show after 14 years. ‘Dad bod’ was officially added to Webster’s Dictionary. And how about the Federal government? Well, unsurprisingly, it managed to keep spending money we don’t have on things we don’t need.”

Even CNN pundits admit masks are just 'facial decoration'

'The science' indicates lockdowns didn't work

From the Wall Street Journal, “Follow the science’ has been the battle cry of lockdown supporters since the Covid-19 pandemic began. Yet before March 2020, the mainstream scientific community, including the World Health Organization, strongly opposed lockdowns and similar measures against infectious disease.”

What if masks don't make you safer and are just as act of submission?

CNN reports, “The CEOs of two of the nation's major airlines say they don't think wearing masks on planes does much to help limit exposure to Covid.

The comments from American Airlines (AAL) CEO Doug Parker — the nation's largest carrier — and Southwest (LUV) CEO Gary Kelly came during a hearing about the financial support that airlines received from the federal government in 2020 and 2021. But the topic of masks arose via a question from Sen. Roger Wicker, the ranking Republican on the Senate committee holding the hearing.

‘I think the case is very strong that masks don't add much, if anything, in the air cabin environment. It is very safe and very high quality compared to any other indoor setting,’ said Kelly.”
