FEE’s Brad Polumbo writes, “House Democrats voted Friday to pass the so-called “Build Back Better” plan, a multi-trillion-dollar welfare and climate change spending bill. They’re heralding it as a major accomplishment that will uplift struggling Americans and revitalize the economy. So, let’s review all the reasons it’s an utterly terrible piece of legislation.

It’s uniquely terrible even by the abysmally low standards we expect from Congress. https://t.co/ztpeoXQix9

— FEE (@feeonline) November 20, 2021

First, the cost is astronomical. The Biden administration and its allies in Congress have repeatedly made false claims about its price tag. They’ve time and time again parroted the claim that the legislation ‘costs zero’ because it supposedly does not add to the national debt and is ‘paid for’ with new tax increases. (It actually does add to the debt, but that’s not the point). Yet this is an absurd argument.”

“When we can get Build Back Better passed, and we are optimistic that we will, the American people will see costs actually reduced around some of the most essential services,” she continued. “So, that is a big part of our agenda, and I think it’s important to also stress that it’s not going to cost anything for the American taxpayer.”

That’s right: The vice president is claiming, with a straight face, that the Biden administration’s plan to spend trillions on climate change and welfare policies costs nothing and that taxpayers will be unaffected. She literally said, “it’s not going to cost anything, we’re paying for it.”

‘It’s now clear that the tax-and-spend reconciliation bill and the Senate infrastructure bill are inextricably linked.
On Friday, Massie hosted a roundtable discussion with a dozen members of the U.S. military to hear their concerns about the imminent vaccine mandate. The military members remained anonymous to avoid any backlash or retribution for their opinions on the COVID-19 vaccine.”

Rep. Chip Roy breaks down the ‘leftist garbage’ in so-called ‘infrastructure’ bill

Republican Congressman Chip Roy went on a Twitter tear on Tuesday, after 19 Republicans joined Democrats in passing a $1.2 trillion “infrastructure” bill through the U.S. Senate.

19 Republican senators just voted for a $1.2 trillion “infrastructure” package that’s filled with leftist garbage.

There’s been a lot of smoke and mirror efforts to hide what’s in this bill, so let’s take a look at what they actually voted for.

Roy starts with some of the biggest leftist garbage: the Green New Deal.

This bill even threatens Americans’ civil liberties by featuring the intention to track our vehicles.

These examples are but a few Rep. Chip Roy points out in this absolutely monstrous piece of legislation.

Sen. Mike Lee issued the following statement after the Senate passed the “infrastructure” bill on Tuesday:

“I am sorely disappointed that the Senate chose to pass this irresponsible and so-called ‘infrastructure’ bill. It drastically expands federal power; it increases spending without legitimate ‘pay-fors’; it exacerbates our already dangerous inflation; and it facilitates burdensome taxes and regulations that will hamper and harm our infrastructure.

Ultimately, it will be the American people who will be forced to pay the exorbitant price. That is why I opposed this bill, and why I am deeply concerned with the $3,500,000,000,000 cost of the next spending plan before the Senate.”
