Marxist Saule Omarova is not fit to head OCC

Breitbart reports, “Friday, Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL) reacted to five Democratic senators reportedly opposing President Joe Biden’s nomination of Saule Omarova as the Comptroller of the Currency.

Cammack, pointing to Omarova’s Marxist ‘philosophies,’ told Fox Business Network’s ‘Varney & Company’ that the banking nominee is ‘not fit’ for the job.

‘The thing about this administration that baffles me — I truly do not know where their heads are at. They are so far removed from reality. It’s concerning,’ Cammack stated. ‘You know when you have someone, and I think about Senator Kennedy’s remarks when he addressed her, ‘is it professor or comrade?’ Her philosophies are rooted in Marxism. She is not fit to be our banking nominee.”

We're not anti-vaccine, but we're firmly anti-mandate

We're proving that the big government approach doesn't work

The Washington Times reports, “Mr. Steil said he sees the GOP’s role on the committee to push back on government intervention, which he dubbed as a fight between socialism and capitalism.

‘I think we’re at a unique inflection point in the history of our country, about the direction that we want to go to create and generate prosperity,’ Mr. Steil said. ‘American capitalism is on trial in this committee. We have a unique opportunity to vanquish the socialist argument and come out successfully with American capitalism for generations to come.’

Richard Meagher, a political science professor at Randolph-Macon College, said the battle between capitalism and socialism is one that’s long been in the spirit of Republicans in Congress.

‘It’s an old, old story going back to the post-war years,’ Mr. Meagher said. ‘That’s what Senator Taft used to say in Ohio in the 1950s. It’s what [Barry] Goldwater argued. It’s what Reagan argued. It goes back in the long history of conservative politics. Republicans argue that they’re the defenders of capitalism, and that the Democrats, when they are pushing government programs, are ushering in socialism.’

Mr. Arrington argues that stakes are higher in the current Congress, citing proposals in President Biden’s $1.9 trillion spending bill that would greatly expand the American welfare state.

The bill, known as Build Back Better, passed the House on Friday on a 220-213 vote, sending it off to the Senate for consideration.”

No matter what Democrats do to this spending bill, it's still complete crap

'Build Back Better' bill must be stopped

Newsmax reports, “Inflation is ‘killing everyday Americans,’ and it would be right for Sen. Joe Manchin to follow through with delaying the ‘Build Back Better’ bill until next year, Rep. Kat Cammack said on Newsmax Friday.

‘This is 'build back broke' and we're seeing it already,’ the Florida Republican said on Newsmax's ‘National Report.’ ‘If I were Sen. Joe Manchin, I would be holding off for as long as possible. This bill, this whole agenda fundamentally transforms America for the worst, and that is not something that Americans need in the wake of COVID.’

Manchin, D-W.Va., who along with Sen. Krysten Sinema, D-Ariz., have pushed for steep cuts on the bill's initial price tag of $3.5 trillion, is indicating he may want to delay the bill until next year because of the nation's growing inflation.”

Make it REINS

FreedomWorks’ Adam Brandon writes, “On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to cosponsor the Regulations from the Executive in Need of Scrutiny (REINS) Act, H.R. 1776, if they haven’t already done so. Introduced by Rep. Kat Cammack (R-Fla.) as a companion to Sen. Rand Paul’s (R-Ky.) S. 68 in the Senate, the REINS Act would reaffirm the legislative branch’s Article I constitutional authority by requiring that economically significant rules be approved through a joint resolution of Congress before they are allowed to take effect.

Although the Trump administration made great progress in rolling back excessive regulations, the regulatory state has become an unconstitutional fourth branch of the federal government that began before and will extend beyond that administration. This trend of growth in bureaucracy has imposed a massive cost compliance burden on businesses and consumers, and the current Biden administration has already taken massive leaps toward reimposing many regulatory costs.

According to the Competitive Enterprise Institute, federal regulations cost nearly $1.9 trillion, or approximately $14,000 per family, annually. If the federal regulatory state alone were its own economy, it would be one of the largest economies in the world...

The REINS Act reduces the influence of federal regulatory agencies and begins to reclaim Congress’ Article I authority as the sole law-making branch of the federal government under the Constitution.”

Here's everything you need to know about Biden's OSHA mandate: It's unconstitutional

From Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis: "Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced a lawsuit against the Biden Administration’s unconstitutional Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) employer vaccine mandate. As soon as the unlawful emergency temporary standard (ETS) is published in the Federal Register tomorrow, the lawsuit will be immediately filed with the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. For more information on the court action, click here.

'We started with 15 days to slow the spread and now it’s get jabbed or lose your job,' said Governor Ron DeSantis. 'We’re supposed to be a government of laws, not a government of men. This OSHA rule is 500 pages of a government of bureaucracy, a government that is being run by executive edict, not a government bound by constitutional constraints. The State of Florida will immediately challenge the OSHA rule in court because it’s inconsistent with the Constitution and not legally authorized through Congressional statutes. There is no federal police power and the federal government cannot unilaterally impose medical policy under the guise of workplace regulation. Individuals should make informed choices about their own healthcare. It is important to stand up for people’s individual ability to make decisions for themselves."

We must stop Biden from expanding IRS data collection on millions of Americans

Statement by Congressman Tom Emmer, “I am deeply disturbed by the continued efforts of the Biden Administration to expand IRS data collection on millions of Americans. When more than 100 Members of Congress voiced their objection to this proposal, Treasury’s lackluster response demonstrated just how out-of-touch the Department is with the very real concerns of the American people.”

“Over the last several months, Congressional offices have been inundated with messages from constituents concerned about the privacy implications associated with this proposal. The Administration’s half-hearted attempt to mollify critics by suggesting they will simply increase the reporting threshold is dismissive and will still affect millions of Americans who do not want more of their personal data sent to the IRS as a means to pay for reconciliation.”

Parents worried about what's being taught in schools shouldn't be bullied by government

Florida Daily reports, “Last week, Republicans in the Florida congressional delegation, led by U.S. Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland.

In the letter, the Florida Republicans condemned a recent directive from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), insisting DOJ was deploying 'federal law enforcement resources in a thinly veiled effort to intimidate and silence parents...'

'Across the nation, parents have rightfully exercised their constitutionally protected free speech to protect their children from harmful curricula like critical race theory being implemented by radical school board members and school administrators. In the letter, the members call for the DOJ to immediately explain its clear misuse and weaponization of federal agents and resources to intervene in matters best handled by local law enforcement,' Scott’s office insisted.”
