We saw incredible energy pick up for the race in just the past couple of months. What was once thought to be a blue win changed to a toss-up. And then, that toss-up turned out to be a clearly defined triumph for Mr. Youngkin.

The letter, signed by NSBA President Viola Garcia and Interim Executive Director and CEO Chip Slaven, acknowledged that ‘it is vital that public discourses be encouraged in a safe and open environment, in which varying viewpoints can be offered in a peaceful manner.’ However, when referring to meeting disruptions across the country, it pulled no punches. ‘As these acts of malice, violence, and threats against public school officials have increased,’ it reads, ‘the classification of these heinous actions could be the equivalent to a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes.”

Florida Daily reports, “Last week, Republicans in the Florida congressional delegation, led by U.S. Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland.

In the letter, the Florida Republicans condemned a recent directive from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), insisting DOJ was deploying ‘federal law enforcement resources in a thinly veiled effort to intimidate and silence parents…’

‘Across the nation, parents have rightfully exercised their constitutionally protected free speech to protect their children from harmful curricula like critical race theory being implemented by radical school board members and school administrators. In the letter, the members call for the DOJ to immediately explain its clear misuse and weaponization of federal agents and resources to intervene in matters best handled by local law enforcement,’ Scott’s office insisted.”

Hannah Cox writes, “From the videos that have circulated online, it would appear these school board meetings have certainly become verbally heated. But thus far, those claiming threats of violence against the elected officials have produced little to back up their claims. Furthermore, if such incidents do occur, the proper protocol would be to report them to local police. This issue would, by definition, not fall under federal jurisdiction.

No parent should be labeled a domestic terrorist for participating in their child’s education, which we all pay for and which the gov refuses to let most people opt out of.

So why are the FBI, US Attorneys’ Offices, and the Attorney General pulling rank and getting involved? Some motivations seem obvious. The parents protesting at these events have, in overwhelming numbers, been working to stop school closures, mask mandates, and an increase in politically charged, left-wing curriculums like critical race theory (CRT)—all things that Democrats, and particularly the current Democrat administration are in favor of.

Other motivations, however, are just beginning to crystalize. Recently, a parents group called Parents Defending Education, pointed out that Garland’s daughter is married to the founder of one of the top CRT groups in the country.”

Red State: Domenech asked Paul if people should worry about appearing on government lists if they say the wrong thing, and Paul reminded acknowledged that lists like these already exist and that it would be right to fear the government in this regard.

“That’s a sad thing from someone in the government to say, but the thing is, is those lists already exist. For example, people in northern Virginia that have gone to [protests], have been then sought out by the school council, by the members of the school board and retaliated [against] in a sort of legalistic way to try to put them on some sort of list and chill their speech by letting them know there’ll be a penalty for showing up and protesting,’ Paul said…

‘If you go to a school board meeting and you’re disruptive and you don’t obey the rules of the school board meeting, then there will be local punishment,’ Paul said. ‘But that has nothing to do with the federal law, it has nothing to do with the Department of Justice. What Merrick Garland did is, he’s attempting to stifle dissent, and he’s attempting to say, ‘Beware or Big Brother’s coming after you if you speak out against my policies or against the Biden policies.”

Biden’s Attorney General failed to specify the number of threats made, or explain why federal bureaucrats are getting involved in what would otherwise be a matter for local law enforcement. But these details are irrelevant, when the purpose of this move is entirely political. It’s clear that Biden’s FBI is trying to preserve the left’s monopoly on education by intimidating parents who are fighting to end it.

Under the Biden administration, the FBI has focused more on settling the president’s political scores than helping the American people.”

Fox News reports, “A group that represents school boards is asking the Biden administration to review threats and violence against education administrators and schools to determine if they violate the Patriot Act and hate crime laws amid clashes between angry parents and educators over COVID-19 policies and critical race theory being taught in classrooms.

In a Wednesday letter to Biden, the National School Boards Association asked that the federal government examine whether actions can be taken to stop the vitriol and violence using the Gun-Free School Zones Act and the Patriot Act, the controversial statute enacted after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.”
