Did you know that Loudoun County Public Schools District—yes the Loudoun County, ground zero of the parental revolt against Democratic school governance—was 100 percent distance learning this week due to ‘staffing shortages,’ and that Wednesday and Friday were called off just days in advance?…

We no longer wipe down our groceries, padlock our playgrounds, or set the default on school opening to be ‘closed.’ All of those took 15 months too long in blue states, but we take victories over anti-science superstition where we can get them. The letter, signed by NSBA President Viola Garcia and Interim Executive Director and CEO Chip Slaven, acknowledged that ‘it is vital that public discourses be encouraged in a safe and open environment, in which varying viewpoints can be offered in a peaceful manner.’ However, when referring to meeting disruptions across the country, it pulled no punches. ‘As these acts of malice, violence, and threats against public school officials have increased,’ it reads, ‘the classification of these heinous actions could be the equivalent to a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes.”

Fox News reports, “Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Monday slammed President Biden’s COVID-19 vaccine mandates as “not following science” on the natural immunity people acquire from already being infected.

‘These mandates, this is not about science,’ the Republican governor said during a press conference in Alachua County. ‘Because if it was about science, you would recognize the infection conferred immunity.’

‘Every single credible study always shows that it [natural immunity] provides good protection,’ he continued. ‘So I don’t support mandates at all, but if you’re doing mandate based off this, if you were really following science, you would acknowledge this natural immunity. And instead they ignore it. … It’s really about using government power, control to mandate, much more than it is about the underlying medical issues that are involved.”

Reason’s Jacob Sullum writes, “The most audacious part of the COVID-19 plan that President Joe Biden announced today is a rule demanding that every U.S. company with 100 or more employees require them to be vaccinated or submit to weekly virus testing. In contrast with that bold assertion of federal regulatory power, Biden is still stopping short of a broad face mask mandate, which he has said is beyond his powers as president.”

The difference between these two approaches is hard to understand based on what the law allows—or, more to the point, what the Biden administration has said the law allows. Biden’s sudden embrace of a federal vaccine requirement seems inconsistent with his acknowledgment that he cannot mandate every COVID-19 precaution he’d like people to follow.”

“We get a lot of pressure from our commanders … and they tell you these sob stories to heavily persuade you, and it’s borderline harassment,” one Air Force member added, explaining how he may need to ‘restart’ if the vaccine becomes mandatory.

“It makes you wonder, well I joined to change my life and they’re all about inclusion and diversity but I have to restart just because of the shot,” he said.

“That’s basically putting us in the same category as rapists and killers which I think that’s insane,” he said of the possibility of getting a dishonorable discharge, noting that it makes one “basically a felon at that point.”

“They’re basically saying we’re felons, which I think is crazy,” he added.

First CDC said

vaccine “prevents all symptomatic infection and spread by 95%”

then “reduces severity of symptoms and spread… some”

then “reduces severe cases but not spread, so wear mask again!”

if CDC no longer claims it reduces spread, how can anyone justify mandating it?
