It was the next major step in the already continual centralization of government involvement and control of Americans’ personal health care. In the decade following, the trend has only continued as more and more personal health care decisions now begin and end with bureaucracy.

Now, two years since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, more governmentalization of health care has deprived us not only of our health but our freedoms. Politics and bureaucracy have corrupted the health care industry and subjected us to the will of bureaucracy and the lobbyist class.”

Matt Kibbe is joined by Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) to discuss the bloated end-of-year budget that always keeps Congress in town right up until Christmas. This year, it’s particularly grim, as the bill contains funding to implement the Biden administration’s unconstitutional vaccine mandate.

While many Republicans are hoping the courts will strike down the mandate, this creates a dangerous precedent in which Congress abdicates its responsibility to the voters, ceding that power to unelected judges. While there’s a good chance that the vaccine mandate will not be allowed to stand, it doesn’t excuse the legislative branch from properly fulfilling its role to rein in the executive power of the president.

From Free The People: “Let’s talk about the supply chain. More than a year after the great Toilet Paper Panic of March 2020, Americans are once again experiencing empty shelves, unexplained shipping delays, and warnings that we better do our Christmas shopping early lest our family and friends get completely Grinched this holiday season. Back in March of 2020, when politicians started locking things down, they never imagined all of the damage they would do to a complex economy and our global supply chain. Matt Kibbe breaks it all down in this episode of Let’s Talk About… from Free the People.”

Free the People’s Taylor Lewis writes, “Under President Biden’s constitutionally dubious vaccine mandate for large employers, workers may be tasked with doing double duty: plying their normal trade and narking on their fellow employees for ducking the jab.

OSHA has yet to issue its exact rule on how it will monitor and enforce the vaccine requirement. But, our good, disinterested friends at National Public Radio speculate that OSHA bureaucrats will rely heavily on the drones whom they fleece biweekly for their own paychecks. ‘Given how small and chronically understaffed the agency is, the idea of snitching on someone in your office is actually not that far from reality,’ reporter Andrea Hsu posits. The Department of Labor subagency has ‘1,850 federal and state inspectors covering some 8 million worksites nationwide.’ That’s one inspector per about 4,320 workers.

So what’s an undermanned bureaucracy to do? Trust the two-faced, that’s what!…

If President Biden was upright and transparent about the handful of available COVID vaccines, he’d stick with his aphoristic message last spring: get vaccinated, ditch the mask, be protected. Instead, he’s reversed rhetorical course, insisting that the poked aren’t protected until everyone’s forearm is appropriately bandaged. The message is now muddled, paradoxical to the point of conflict inducing: I can only protect myself if I get spiked and force everyone around me to do the same.”
