Arizona Central reports, “One Arizona man who appeared prominently in videos from the Jan. 6 Capitol riot — but has never been charged — returned to prominence this week when those videos were replayed in Congress.

A video of Queen Creek resident Ray Epps was shown by U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky during a House oversight hearing where lawmakers questioned Attorney General Merrick Garland about the attack on the Capitol.

Massie used the video as occasion to ask Garland not just about Epps, but about the belief that federal agents were present and agitating people before the riot.

One video shows Epps telling people on Jan. 5 they need to go into the U.S. Capitol. Other video shows him directing them on Jan. 6 toward the historic building.

Massie showed video and images of Epps during the hearing, then asked Garland, ‘as far as we can find, this individual has not been charged with anything. You said this is one of the most sweeping investigations in history.’

Garland responded that the U.S. Department of Justice does not comment on pending investigations, especially particular scenes or individuals.

Massie persisted.

‘Can you tell us — without talking about particular incidents or particular videos — how many agents or assets of the federal government were present on January 6? Whether they agitated to go into the Capitol and if any of them did?’

‘I’m not going to comment on an investigation that’s ongoing,’ Garland responded.”

Hannah Cox writes, “From the videos that have circulated online, it would appear these school board meetings have certainly become verbally heated. But thus far, those claiming threats of violence against the elected officials have produced little to back up their claims. Furthermore, if such incidents do occur, the proper protocol would be to report them to local police. This issue would, by definition, not fall under federal jurisdiction.

No parent should be labeled a domestic terrorist for participating in their child’s education, which we all pay for and which the gov refuses to let most people opt out of.

So why are the FBI, US Attorneys’ Offices, and the Attorney General pulling rank and getting involved? Some motivations seem obvious. The parents protesting at these events have, in overwhelming numbers, been working to stop school closures, mask mandates, and an increase in politically charged, left-wing curriculums like critical race theory (CRT)—all things that Democrats, and particularly the current Democrat administration are in favor of.

Other motivations, however, are just beginning to crystalize. Recently, a parents group called Parents Defending Education, pointed out that Garland’s daughter is married to the founder of one of the top CRT groups in the country.”

Fox News reports, “Florida mom Quisha King called for a ‘mass exodus’ from the public school system, arguing that school systems left parents with no other choice for fighting left-wing ideas.

Her comments came during the annual Family Research Council’s Pray Vote Stand Summit during a Thursday panel on ‘Fighting Indoctrination on a National Scale.’

‘I really think at this point the only thing to do is have a mass exodus from the public school system – that’s it,’ King said. In response, she received prolonged applause, and many in the audience stood to their feet at the Leesburg, Virginia, event.

‘With this FBI thing, it just made me realize – what else are we supposed to do?’ King asked. ‘Standing up to these people doesn’t seem to matter. I mean, we have – all of us – we’ve been at these school board meetings, we’ve been voicing our opinions, we’re writing articles, we’re emailing teachers – we’re doing all that stuff. And they don’t care. I’m like the only thing left to do is to just peace out.’

She added that ‘it has to be us doing it together’ in order to ‘really send the message that you do not have the right to indoctrinate our children.”

Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said Wednesday that Americans should ‘be afraid of your government’ after Attorney General Merrick Garland announced that the FBI would probe a purported spike in threats to local school officials amid protests over mask mandates and the addition of critical race theory to curricula.

‘Moms at school boards are being told that they’re criminals, potential domestic terrorists, for the crime of dissent,’ Paul told ‘Fox News Primetime,’ ‘and I think criminalizing dissent is something that we should all be appalled with.’

“Dozens of congressional lawmakers are outraged after the Justice Department decided to drop a lawsuit against a federally-funded hospital that forced several nurses to assist in elective abortions despite their objections.

The lawmakers have sent a strongly worded letter to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland and Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) Xavier Becerra making it clear that the nurses’ conscience rights have been violated.

Written by Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD) and signed by fellow Pro-Life Caucus co-chairs—Reps. Chris Smith (R-NJ) and Kat Cammack (R-FL)—and a total of 84 members of Congress, the letter expressed deep concerns over the Biden Administration’s ‘coordinated decision to seek a voluntary dismissal in the lawsuit against the University of Vermont Medical Center (UVMMC) for knowingly, willfully, and repeatedly violating federal conscience-protection laws.’
