John Stossel writes at the New York Post, “Facebook is a private company, so it can censor whomever it wants. But what Facebook is doing lately is just sleazy.

Recently, I sued them because they defamed me. They, along with one of their ‘fact-checkers,’ a group called Science Feedback, lied about me and continue to lie about me.

Who knew facebook ‘fact’ checks are simply opinion. That’s what facebook lawyers are now arguing.https://t.co/jdCnFQ6ldQ

— Senator Rand Paul (@RandPaul) December 14, 2021

Now Facebook has responded to my lawsuit in court.

Amazingly, their lawyers now claim that Facebook’s ‘fact-checks’ are merely ‘opinion’ and therefore immune from defamation.

Wait — Facebook’s fact-checks are just ‘opinion’?! I thought fact-checks are statements of fact.”

He thought that would help?

I suppose he, like many progressives, believes everyone thinks the way he does.

‘I’m not going to let parents come into schools and…make their own decisions,’ he’d said. ‘I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach.’

That’s the political attitude: Government runs things. We, the experts, know what’s best. Parents as ‘customers’ who make choices? Nonsense.

I hope his defeat means Americans are figuring out that such politicians are enemies of progress.”

John Stossel: ‘We SHOULD listen to Paul. He got much right about COVID-19’

Fox Business’s John Stossel put together this excellent video package:

Senator @RandPaul is censored—his YouTube channel frozen for a week.

Why?

We SHOULD listen to Paul. He got much right about #Covid19: pic.twitter.com/SnBGHignUK

— John Stossel (@JohnStossel) August 17, 2021

Monolithic social media companies have tried to determine what the truth is concerning COVID-19 and what constitutes proper health policy for a year and a half. My YouTube channel was censored for a week for questioning the government’s mask guidelines, expressing a viewpoint that even Dr. Anthony Fauci once expressed as well.

This is dangerous. Big Tech should not be able to control our public discourse.

Thanks again to John Stossel for highlighting this important issue.
