The New York Post reports: “Bombshell allegations by FBI Special Agent Steve Friend contained in a whistleblower complaint filed late Wednesday with the Department of Justice inspector general reveal a politicized Washington, DC, FBI field office cooking the books to exaggerate the threat of domestic terrorism, and ­using an ‘overzealous’ January 6 ­investigation to harass conservative Americans and violate their constitutional rights.

Friend, 37, a respected 12-year veteran of the FBI and a SWAT team member, was suspended Monday, stripped of his gun and badge, and escorted out of the FBI field office in Daytona Beach, Fla., after complaining to his supervisors about the violations.

He was declared absent without leave last month for refusing to participate in SWAT raids that he believed violated FBI policy and were a use of excessive force against Jan. 6 ­subjects accused of misdemeanor ­offenses.

This American hero, the father of two small children, has blown up his ‘dream career’ because he could not live with his conscience if he continued to be part of what he sees as the unjust persecution of conservative Americans.

‘I have an oath to uphold the Constitution,’ he told supervisors when he asserted his conscientious objection to joining an Aug. 24 raid on a J6 subject in the Jacksonville, Fla., area. ‘I have a moral objection and want to be considered a conscientious objector.”

Fox News reports, “Newly released internal emails reveal that the National School Boards Association coordinated with the White House and the Department of Justice before sending President Biden the notorious letter that compared concerned parents to domestic terrorists. Viola Garcia, the NSBA president whom the Department of Education later named to a federal board, sent a memo to NSBA members on Oct. 11 (but dated Oct. 12), providing a timeline of the NSBA’s interaction with the White House ahead of the letter to Biden, which the NSBA sent on Sept. 29.

Five days later, on Oct. 4, the DOJ issued a memo directing law enforcement to investigate threats to school boards. On Oct. 22, the NSBA issued an apology for the letter.”

Red State: Domenech asked Paul if people should worry about appearing on government lists if they say the wrong thing, and Paul reminded acknowledged that lists like these already exist and that it would be right to fear the government in this regard.

“That’s a sad thing from someone in the government to say, but the thing is, is those lists already exist. For example, people in northern Virginia that have gone to [protests], have been then sought out by the school council, by the members of the school board and retaliated [against] in a sort of legalistic way to try to put them on some sort of list and chill their speech by letting them know there’ll be a penalty for showing up and protesting,’ Paul said…

‘If you go to a school board meeting and you’re disruptive and you don’t obey the rules of the school board meeting, then there will be local punishment,’ Paul said. ‘But that has nothing to do with the federal law, it has nothing to do with the Department of Justice. What Merrick Garland did is, he’s attempting to stifle dissent, and he’s attempting to say, ‘Beware or Big Brother’s coming after you if you speak out against my policies or against the Biden policies.”

DOJ lets hospital off the hook after it forced pro-life nurses to assist in abortions

“Dozens of congressional lawmakers are outraged after the Justice Department decided to drop a lawsuit against a federally-funded hospital that forced several nurses to assist in elective abortions despite their objections.

The lawmakers have sent a strongly worded letter to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland and Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) Xavier Becerra making it clear that the nurses’ conscience rights have been violated.

Written by Rep. Andy Harris (R-MD) and signed by fellow Pro-Life Caucus co-chairs—Reps. Chris Smith (R-NJ) and Kat Cammack (R-FL)—and a total of 84 members of Congress, the letter expressed deep concerns over the Biden Administration’s ‘coordinated decision to seek a voluntary dismissal in the lawsuit against the University of Vermont Medical Center (UVMMC) for knowingly, willfully, and repeatedly violating federal conscience-protection laws.’

“They also signal that this administration would rather allow consciences to be violated at the behest of the abortion lobby rather enforce the law and protect religious liberty,’ the letter said.”
